Power wooden surfboards are easy to build, and offer exceptional performance in the surf.
Using plans from olosurfer.com,,which can be downloaded immediately, any  surfboard design can be crafted exactly as designed and built at Power surfboards, using simple handtools and locally available wood.
Plans can include options for chambered or solid balsa, cedar, paulownia, or just about any  timber. perhaps using locally sourced wood, the home builder can make a beautiful top of the line wooden board at a fraction of the cost of a new one. The template service is there for exact planshape rocker and fin templates  . Each template is handrawn using Power surfboards Curves, and can be customised for individual needs.
Building a wooden surfboard is well within the reach of for these high school students, who built six of them in a class, in one week. and even younger surfers, so far Tristan (10 years) is the youngest Power surfboard builder, Tristan's Power fish project is now at the shaping stage and is looking good.   Linked  here are several Power surfboard projects from around the world, two of them in chambered balsa.

What people are saying

i Roy,  Thanks so much.  I can not wait.  The beaches should get less crowded   about the time I hope to finish and the surf should be much better than too. I knew you were the right guy to go too.You seem to have good soul and you great for the surfing. Thanks again, Greg

Roy
I finally completed the island rocket I bought teh plans for end of last year.
went for a surf monday night at fitzroy New Plymouth. expected somthing ok. I have tapered the nose so it looks more mainstream in that area the tail is about 2' thick, teh rails i did to what I like which s slightly different to the design. Not because I set out to do it my way but cos I got it a little wrong doing it but eye the had to adjust to what I know instead. the rocker too is slightly out to the design, hey building house raising kids surfing when can I make mistakes.
BUT
The result was WOW from all who have seen it and "Far out man what a ride" from me
nicest board I have built yet and nicest board I have ridden. its just like soooo smooth and turns sweet. so the "ok" went out the window and 'Sweet bro' has replaced it.. .  .Andrew
