The first batch of Northern Light Sunblock was mixed in 1990. There was no sunblock available at that time which didn't wash off, resulting in the inevitable sunburn. The most 'waterproof' of these had such a frightening list of ingredients that we were reluctant to wear it ourselves let alone put it on our baby's skin. Waterproof formulae should resist being dissolved in water. Wax and Oil are a natural way to present this waterproof barrier.
